About the Role
Working closely under the supervision of our Wellness Director / Registered Nurse, the Caregiver / Medication Technician provides hands-on care that supports residents’ dignity, independence, and quality of life. You’ll be an important part of our “aging in place” philosophy—helping residents feel safe, respected, and at home.
What You’ll Do
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, personal hygiene, toileting, and attends
- Support residents with meals, including transportation to and from dining and in-room dining assistance as needed
- Monitor and record vital signs per care plans
- Communicate clearly across shifts and promptly report changes or concerns to nursing leadership
- Assist with light laundry, bed-making, and linen changes
- Help maintain resident apartments by emptying trash, tidying clutter, and addressing spills as needed
- Complete care documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform approved treatments within scope of practice as ordered by a physician
- Stock supplies and support the nursing station
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Requirements:Education:
- Must be at least 18 years of age. (Caregiver)
- High School Diploma and/or equivalent
Licenses/Certification:
- Successful completion of training approved by the state for Certified Medication Assistants (Medication Technician).
- Certification in the state of WA as a Certified Nursing Assistant. (Certified Medication Technician)
- Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
- Valid CPR certificate preferred.
Experience:
- Six months experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and patience.
- Ability to maintain resident confidentiality.
NOTE: A CNA who successfully completes an approved advanced skills training curriculum and/or has demonstrated experience in a needed clinical specialty area, e.g. ventilator, pulmonary, and tracheostomy (VPT), can be classified as a CNA II.
