Position Summary

The CNA House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a 1 person home care location while providing compassionate, hands-on care and supervision to residents. This position combines the responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with leadership and household management duties.

The House Manager ensures that residents receive safe, respectful, person-centered care while maintaining a clean, comfortable, and supportive home environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, compassionate, and able to lead caregivers by example.

Key Responsibilities

Resident Care

• Provide direct personal care and assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding as needed.
• Assist residents with medications according to applicable regulations, care plans, and facility policies.
• Monitor residents for changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition and promptly report concerns to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
• Follow individual care plans and ensure residents' needs are met consistently.
• Promote residents' dignity, independence, privacy, and quality of life.
• Assist with appointments, transportation, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation regarding resident care and daily activities.

House Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the residential home.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and comfortable living environment.
• Coordinate household routines, meals, laundry, shopping, cleaning, and other daily tasks.
• Monitor household supplies, groceries, and resident care supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
• Ensure that safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures are followed.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating caregiver coverage to ensure adequate staffing.
• Help orient and train new caregivers regarding household routines, resident needs, and care expectations.

Staff Leadership

• Provide daily direction and support to caregivers.
• Lead by example by demonstrating professional, compassionate, and respectful care.
• Monitor staff performance and communicate concerns to management.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, punctuality, and effective communication among caregivers.
• Help ensure that staff follow established policies, procedures, and resident care plans.

Communication & Documentation

• Maintain professional communication with residents, families, healthcare providers, and management.
• Document incidents, changes in condition, appointments, medication concerns, and other relevant resident information.
• Participate in care meetings and provide updates regarding resident needs and progress.
• Report emergencies, injuries, behavioral concerns, or significant changes in resident condition immediately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree Preferred
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for WA.
• Previous experience providing direct resident or patient care.
• Previous supervisory, lead caregiver, or residential care experience preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required according to applicable regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions within the scope of the position.
• Reliable, responsible, compassionate, and professional.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect residents' privacy.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and physical care needs.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and other employment requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform routine household and caregiving duties.
• Heavy Lifting: The ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds, including moving or transferring patient.
• Ability to assist residents with transfers, mobility, and activities of daily living within applicable safety guidelines.
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and perform other physical tasks associated with resident care and household operations.

Schedule & Compensation

• Thursday - Saturday, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 / hour
