POSITION: Shipping & Receiving Inspector LOCATION: Jupiter/Stuart STATUS: Hourly, Non-exempt JOB SUMMARYThe purpose of this position is to provide packaging and product verification services in accordance with established guidelines and procedures, to ensure a safe and efficient operation ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:Unpack/Pack product, in accordance to PSM specifications and work instructions; ensuring that product is secure for transport. Verify product is adequately packaged and all material present prior to shipment to customerComputer entry work in our network and databases, as well as scanning documentation and uploading photographs.Visually inspects serial numbers and part condition to verify if parts are acceptable. Documents findings from inspection activities according to established procedures.Operates small cranes and fork-lifts to move equipment, parts and material.Create accurate box labels.Build, modify, and paint shipping and storage containers.Maintain good housekeeping in work area to keep area free from safety hazards. Carrying out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment and tools.Ensure safe operations of fork-lifts and pallet jacks. Following Environmental Health and Safety regulations while working in fast pace environment.Continually improving operations and the working environment through 5s methodology.Other duties as assigned. Physical RequirementsStooping/Crouching. Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist.Kneeling. Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.Crawling. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.Reaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.Standing. Particularly for sustained periods of timeWalking. Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work area to another.Pushing & PullingLifting up to 50 lbs. Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position.Grasping. Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.May require travel (air & ground) with short notice.

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix

- Being able to wear required PPEs for specific tasks performed, such as respirators, Tyvek suit, gloves, face shield, etc. Ability to cooperate and work with people
