Launchpad Hospitality is hiring passionate Prep Chef to join the opening team at Nami Nori Design District—the newest location of the acclaimed Japanese restaurant concept from New York City, where Pharrell Williams is a partner. DUTIES:
The prep chef is responsible for providing culinary support to the kitchen in the preparation and presentation of all dishes. These responsibilities include:
- Creating and completing daily prep lists
- Preparing menu items following recipes and yield guides
- Receiving and organizing deliveries
- Handling opening and closing duties
- Maintaining Dept of Health standards
- Communicating with Chef on Duty about any issues with product, supplies, equipment or facilities
- Participating in staff training opportunities to develop knowledge and skills
REQUIREMENTS:
- The ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written direction
- The ability to perform basic math
- The ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis
- The ability to sit, bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive work for 6-8 hours a day
