About This Position

Starting Pay Rate: $20.20 per hour ($36,764 a year)

35 Hour Work Week

Job Duties:

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Self Direction (SD) program’s regulations and requirements related to expense reimbursements.
  • Review incoming SD reimbursement to ensure OPWDD regulatory compliance
  • Maintain an updated knowledgebase of program regulations and requirements pertaining to reimbursements
  • Communicate timely and effectively with staff, participants, designated representatives, and brokers for necessary clarification when reviewing reimbursements.
  • Verify reimbursements against budgets and determine fund availability.
  • Code approved invoices with appropriate general ledger codes.
  • Provide solutions for disputed invoices.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Associate Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience working in an environment which requires strong attention to detail and the ability to make decisions independently is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Problem solving.
  • Microsoft Office, Excel and database experience required.
  • Strong organizational, time management and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with a diverse populations.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and identify the need for escalation.
