This position with Duininck Concrete offers the opportunity to maintain an organized yard and warehouse and help customers with product orders, product pick-up, and deliveries. This is a fast-paced position with customer satisfaction at the top of the list.
The Role:
- Coordinate the activities and daily tasks for the Alexandria store/warehouse.
- Help customers with product questions and place orders for customers.
- Deliver customer product orders to the job site or coordinate with Duininck Concrete Supply Store of other deliveries.
- Partner with Duininck Sales Representatives for customer product needs.
- Ensure all products, items, or materials are physically received, sorted, labeled, and stored in an orderly fashion according to company policies and standards.
- Process all receiving documents against original purchase order in the Spruce inventory system.
- Coordinate lists of incoming shipments and items for receiving and communicating with Duininck Concrete Construction Supply Team.
- Monitor inventory monthly to ensure that all items are accounted for.
- Prepare a list of outgoing shipments according to customer’s requests.
- Operate and maintain forklift.
- Review and adapt warehouse operations according to shipping schedules.
- Conduct regular inspections on warehouse conditions, as well as that of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure emergency equipment is in place and working properly.
- Enforce all safety and emergency policies and procedures.
- Assist with deliveries when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand and walk 3/4 of the time and sit 1/4 of the time.
- Must be able to use hand to finger, feel or handle over 2/3 of the time.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl 1/3 of the time.
- Must be able to talk and read English.
- Must be able to lift to up to 20 pounds 1/3 of the time and up to 50 pounds over 2/3 of the time.
- Close vision and depth perception are required.

- Must be able to proficiently enter sales orders and quotes electronically using software.
- Work with a wide variety of individuals at varying levels in the industry.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Forklift Certification
- Class A CDL
- STIHL Certification
