Lead Carpenter Execute High-End Residential Renovations and Site Management

Job Overview:

  • Company: Hawthorne Workshop.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $30 to $40 per hour (Based on experience) plus Performance Bonus.

  • Location: Onsite (Mequon, WI).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, Overtime.

  • Project Scope: Residential Construction / Remodeling.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity:

You will serve as the primary onsite leader, translating high-end remodeling plans into reality through expert craftsmanship and crew supervision. This role empowers you to manage daily field operations while mentoring a team dedicated to five-star customer service. You will have the autonomy to solve complex construction challenges and the support of a company that values quality and professional growth.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Directed daily jobsite operations to maintain peak efficiency and strict adherence to remodeling plans.

  • Supervised and mentored a crew of carpenters and subcontractors to ensure high-quality craftsmanship.

  • Executed complex rough and finish carpentry tasks, including framing, cabinet installation, and trim work.

  • Coordinated with the company owner and clients to communicate project progress and resolve logistical issues.

  • Maintained accurate project documentation, including daily logs and progress photos, using Houzz Pro software.

  • Enforced site safety protocols and building code compliance to ensure a secure and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 6-7 years of experience in residential remodeling or high-end construction.

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and delegate tasks to field crews and subcontractors.

  • Expert technical knowledge of all carpentry phases, including framing, drywall, and finish work.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting detailed architectural blueprints and project schedules.

  • Possession of a valid drivers license and proficiency with a wide range of power tools.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets and production timelines.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills to independently resolve on-site construction obstacles.

  • Strong background in providing exceptional customer service in a residential environment.
