**INFRA Internal team only. Applications due Wednesday, May 13th by 5:00pmCST. HQ location preferred.**Do you thrive on building relationships? INFRA is seeking a Growth Strategist to support the growth of our cooperative by building meaningful relationships with independent retailers. This means understanding their businesses, supporting their goals, and connecting them to the INFRA community designed to help them thrive.
This role is less about “selling” and more about earning trust, showing value, and guiding retailers into a community that benefits them. You’ll meet retailers through conversations, referrals, and industry events, and help them understand how INFRA can support their success over time.
You’ll also play a key role in bringing INFRA’s growth strategy to life by translating priorities into action, maintaining momentum, and guiding work across the full retailer lifecycle from first connection through onboarding and early engagement.
What you will own and improve:
Relationship-Driven Growth
Build and maintain trust-based relationships with independent retailers, prospects, and partnersUnderstand each retailer’s business, challenges, and goals, and connect them to relevant INFRA valueRepresent INFRA’s values and spirit when creating relationships with retailers that solidify their engagement in the community and stick with them through the yearsRepresent INFRA as a credible, consistent presence in the independent retail communityRetailer Outreach & Pipeline Development (Inbound + Outbound)
Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline through outreach, referrals, inbound engagement, and industry eventsRepresent INFRA at trade shows, retailer gatherings, and events, using them to initiate and deepen relationshipsComplete the full recruitment cycle and ensure every prospective retailer experiences timely, thoughtful, and personalized follow-upCreate momentum through consistent engagement and clear next stepsPartner internally to align outreach with retailer needs and INFRA prioritiesOnboarding & Early Member Support
Deliver a relationship-centered onboarding experience that goes beyond processGuide retailers through the journey from initial connection to membership through early engagement, including connecting them to the right people, programs, and toolsListen for needs and proactively connect members to value across INFRAStrengthen early engagement so members quickly see and experience impactGrowth Strategy Execution & Coordination
Translate INFRA’s growth strategy into clear priorities, actions, and forward progress across the pipelineDrive consistent execution by ensuring opportunities, relationships, and onboarding efforts move forward with pace and intentionIdentify gaps, blockers, or missed opportunities and adjust approach to maintain momentum and achieve growth goalsBring structure and follow-through to growth efforts, ensuring relationships, outreach, and onboarding move forward smoothlyMaintain accurate, usable records of retailer engagement and history in CRM systemsOptimize CRM usage and workflows to support team processes, visibility, and consistency across the growth lifecycleContinuously improve how INFRA connects with and supports retailers across the growth journeyPartner across teams to ensure a coordinated and supportive experience for every retailerWhat you already know:
5–8+ years in relationship-driven business development roles (business development, partnerships, professional services, sales & marketing, account management, or similar) including ability to prepare written plans and schedules, identify objectives, and manage budgets.Preferred experience in the natural foods or grocery industry, including exposure to retail environment, distribution, vendor engagement or similar.Demonstrated depth of experience using or optimizing CRM systems to track and manage engagement (such as Dynamics, Salesforce, Hubspot, etc)Understanding of and ability to speak to the realities of running a retail grocery business, including operations, margins, labor, merchandising, and day-to-day decision making at the store levelPossesses a spirit of curiosity about what else might be possible and is energized by new opportunities, including the drive to open doors, follow up, and follow through to make things happen.Strong prioritization skills. Comfortable navigating and organizing multiple projects, complex logistics and relationships, tight deadlines, and high-pressure situations, all while producing results with exceptional attention to goal attainment, detail and accuracy.Experience owning or contributing to pipeline development and conversionDepth of communication expertise. Practiced active listening, determining root causes, flexibly communicating, incorporating feedback, and keeping everyone up to date.Proven leadership through influence. Ability to inspire others by communicating value/benefits, leading by example, and utilizing a spirit of service approach.Proactive, solution-oriented, iterative mindset with high value on continual improvement.Lover of data including management, analysis, presentation, and forecasting skills.*US Travel is required for this position, up to 20%.
*This role is based in our St. Paul, MN office within our hybrid workforce.

Location: INFRA HQ as part of hybrid workforce (currently 3 days/week in office)
Travel requirements: up to 20%
Pay info: 65,000-80,000-95,000
