Responsibilities may vary slightly by program assignment but typically include:
Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling services
Conduct screenings, intakes, assessments, and treatment planning
Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to client needs
Build strong therapeutic relationships grounded in empathy and accountability
Coordinate care with internal teams and community partners
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Respond to crisis situations when needed
Support discharge planning and aftercare coordination
Participate in staffing, consultation, and ongoing professional development
Perform the 12 Core Functions of counseling
Men’s Residential Counseling – Dual Licensure Required
Provide services within a structured treatment environment supporting individuals in recovery. This role involves close collaboration with residential staff and requires dual licensure due to the scope of services provided.
Outpatient Counseling – In Person
Provide therapy services from our Norfolk, Columbus, or West Point outpatient locations, supporting a diverse range of behavioral health needs through individual, group, and family counseling.
Telehealth Outpatient Counseling
Deliver outpatient services virtually while maintaining strong engagement, clinical standards, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Child and Family Counseling
Provide developmentally appropriate counseling services to children, adolescents, and families using evidence-based and client-centered approaches.
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Nebraska as a (P)LADC, (P)LMHP, LIMHP, or related behavioral health credential
Dual licensure ((P)LADC and (P)LMHP/LIMHP) preferred
Strong interpersonal skills including empathy, warmth, and effective communication
Ability to build therapeutic alliances and adapt clinical approaches
Knowledge of evidence-based practices (CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused, REBT, Reality Therapy, Person-Centered, Gestalt, etc.)
Familiarity with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and ethical standards
Strong clinical judgment, documentation skills, and problem-solving ability
