About This Position
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Mental Health Practitioner to provide outpatient mental health services to individuals, families, couples, and groups. This role involves conducting assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing clinical counseling to help clients improve their mental well-being. The practitioner will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, advocate for clients, and make appropriate referrals as needed.
Hours can be full or part-time, anywhere from 24-40 hours/week.
Key Responsibilities:- Clinical Counseling & Treatment: Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to individuals, families, and groups using evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
- Treatment Planning & Documentation: Develop personalized treatment plans, document progress notes, and complete required clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Collaboration & Referrals: Work with other healthcare providers, offer resources, and refer clients to additional services when necessary.
- Crisis Management: Assess risk and develop safety plans for clients at risk of harm, including suicidality, abuse, and neglect.
- Telehealth Services: Conduct virtual counseling sessions using video conferencing platforms like Zoom and tablet devices.
- Professional Development & Supervision: Participate in supervision, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
- Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP), Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP), Provisionally Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent.
- Experience with mental health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Knowledge of and adherence to the American Counseling Association (ACA) Code of Ethics.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Empathy, professionalism, and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and managing mental health conditions.
- Effective communication and collaboration with clients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage a moderate caseload.
- Comfort with telehealth technology and virtual counseling tools.
