Francesca’s is a busy, high-volume hospitality venue in Glenelg, known for consistent quality, fast-paced service, and strong kitchen standards. We’re seeking a skilled full-time Chef to support kitchen operations and deliver excellent food during peak trade.
The Role
As a Chef at Francesca’s, you will work across prep and service to produce menu items to spec, maintain food safety standards, and contribute to smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook and present menu items consistently to Francesca’s standards
Work efficiently during busy service periods (lunch/dinner trade)
Complete daily prep, portioning, labeling, and stock rotation (FIFO)
Maintain hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards at all times
Assist with inventory control, ordering, and waste minimisation
Oversee and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operations
Promptly address and resolve any staffing issues in a fair and professional manner
Follow workplace policies, WHS requirements, and safe work practices
Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a commercial kitchen (high volume preferred)
Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent demonstrated experience
Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen organisation
Reliable, punctual, and able to work a rotating roster (including nights/weekends)
Team-focused with good communication skills
Must have full Australian working rights (you will be asked to confirm)

$77,000 – $85,000 + superannuation
