The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to manage end-to-end payroll processing for over 400 employees across multiple entities within a corporate environment. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll operations, supporting payroll-related accounting activities, and assisting with the administration of the company’s employee share scheme.

Key Roles and ResponsibilitiesProcess end-to-end payroll for 400+ employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Fair Work, ATO and superannuation requirements.Prepare and lodge STP submissions, handle year-end finalisation, and respond to payroll queries.Coordinate with People & Culture on onboarding, offboarding and employment changes impacting payroll.Prepare, post and reconcile payroll-related journals and support month-end/year-end reporting.Reconcile payroll, superannuation and clearing accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.Administer employee share and equity plans, including allocations, vesting, tax treatment and reporting.Prepare Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation reporting, and support external and internal audits.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll accuracy, efficiency and system automation.Skills, Knowledge and Experience:A tertiary qualification in an associated area will be highly regarded2–5 years’ experience in end-to-end payroll within a corporate or multi-entity environmentStrong understanding of Australian payroll, taxation, superannuation, and employment legislation.Proven experience preparing and lodging Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation returns.Experience with general ledger postings and account reconciliations.Exposure to employee share or equity plans highly regarded.Working Excel skills and familiarity with payroll/HRIS systems. Experience with Rippling and NetSuite is highly regarded but not essential.The Rewards and Culture
