We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join our MCFR Division/Audit Section!

We are onboarding new employees using a hybrid approach. The Department supports flexible work arrangements. Depending on the business need and description of the position, we have options that range from hybrid, to full-time in the office. Specific discussions about the schedule will be discussed during the offer stage.


What you'll be doing:
• The position reviews the financial details of all the RAEs and performs RAE financial analysis.
• The position uses Tableau to create, maintain, and update the RAE financial dashboard.
• The position works with the ACC team, the managed care rates team, the RAEs, and the state financial report vendor to share RAE financial information and Medical Loss Ration financial information.
• The position supports the review of the Medical Loss Ratio financial report.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience Only:

Five (5) years of professional experience in health insurance, or an occupational field closely related.

OR
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Audits, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Public Health, or a field of study related to the work assignment
AND

One (1) years of professional experience in health insurance, or an occupational field closely related.


Preferred Qualifications & Special Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Audit, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Finance, Public Health, or other related degrees.

  • Intermediate to expert level in SQL or other database experience (Python, R etc.)

  • Intermediate to expert level in Excel

  • Intermediate to expert level in Tableau

  • Experience in SAS, or other statistical and visualization packages

  • Experience interpreting State and Federal regulations

  • Experience in financial compliance review

  • Experience in finance model analysis, financial planning

  • Detail oriented

  • Structured and organized

  • Project management and time management skills


DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Work that involves exercising discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, and sharing an organized body of knowledge that characteristically is uniquely acquired through an intense education or training regimen at a recognized college or university; equivalent to the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's or higher degree with major study in or pertinent to the specialized field; and continuously studied to explore, extend, and use additional discoveries, interpretations, and application and to improve data, materials, equipment, applications and methods.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • All positions at HCPF are security sensitive positions and require that the individuals undergo a criminal record background check as a condition of employment.

Comparative Analysis Process

The comparative analysis process will consist primarily of a review of applications against the minimum and preferred qualifications of this position. Depending on the size of the applicant pool, additional selection processes may be utilized to identify a top group of candidates. Applicants will be notified of their status via email.
