Substitute at HOPE Christian Schools Inc. – Albuquerque, New Mexico

Job Summary: Support our campus offices with all items including attendance and substituting in various classrooms as needed. School year August 2025 - May 2026.

Essential Functions:

• Teach classes as assigned and following the lesson plans from the teacher when subbing in classrooms
• Implement pre-prepared lesson plans provided by the teacher
• Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education
• Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations.
• Provide a summary of the day's activities and student progress for the teacher
• Inform the administration in a timely manner if unable to fulfill any duty assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma and relevant coursework in education or experience in related field. Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience as teacher or substitute preferred
• Reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ
• Cooperate with the HCS Administration in implementing all policies, procedures and directives governing the operation of the school
• Comply with all Hope Christian School policies and procedures.
• Strong classroom management skills that enforce school rules and policies and maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work professionally with students and parents
• Good communication skills and the ability to deal professionally with students and parents
