About This Position

Microsoft Technology Specialist

Statement of Purpose

Primary area of responsibility is providing support of all Microsoft Enterprise applications. . This includes deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring Microsoft Enterprise products and network services such as Active Directory.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of an Associate Degree in Computer Science, two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and write general correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, supervisors, or staff of the enterprise.
  • Ability to solve practical problems as presented by users in relation to actual usage of computer related systems.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in electronic, written, oral or diagramed forms to maintain and improve computer-related systems.
  • Ability to effectively use the Internet to diagnose and resolve hardware and software related issues.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

The following certifications would be considered a plus:

  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
  • HP/Compaq Accredited Systems Engineer
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
