The Caregiver will provide care to residents and perform basic ADL's activities under the direction of an LVN.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan.
Maintain a clean and safe resident environment.
Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and the importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
Perform routine care rounds on each assigned resident.
Follows proper procedures and respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance.
Knows the location of each resident and notifies the supervisor immediately if unable to locate a resident.
Follows proper procedure for clocking in and out for shifts.
Follows guidelines for daily clothing.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Required Skills & Abilities:

Excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
Able to concentrate with frequent interruptions.
Able to communicate in English, talk and hear effectively to convey instructions and information to residents and team members.
Excellent interpersonal and client service skills.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 1-2 years’ experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Desire experience in a similar setting ideally.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand & walk 75% of the shift; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, pushing, pulling or grasping. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
Might be exposed to common dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, common illnesses, and other conditions.
Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed.
