Maintenance Technician at Children First, Inc – Sarasota, Florida

Summary: The Maintenance Technician will perform quality routine and preventive maintenance and repairs across several buildings and properties to ensure a safe environment for all.

Core functions overview:

· Perform quality routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance and repairs in Sarasota (building and equipment)

· Troubleshoot and repair building and facility equipment

· Ensure safety of work area and equipment

· Assist with grounds maintenance

Experience & Education:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred

· Minimum five years of multi-faceted property maintenance experience required

Competencies:

· Working knowledge of general building systems

· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

· Effective time management and adaptability in changing environments

· Experience with facilities databases and Outlook

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Work Environment / Physical Expectations:

· Frequent standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, squatting, and use of maintenance tools

· Ability to lift and move materials and equipment

· Exposure to varying indoor and outdoor environments year-round
