Plasma-Therm is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support a clean-room manufacturing building, machine shop, assembly operations, and related facilities in St. Petersburg. This role responds to urgent equipment and facility needs while building a stronger preventive-maintenance program. The successful candidate will combine practical troubleshooting skill, disciplined documentation, vendor coordination, and a safety-first approach in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and coordinate repair of HVAC systems, chillers, air handlers, pumps, compressed air, process water, plumbing, lighting, doors, docks, drainage, and building infrastructure.
• Respond promptly to production-impacting facility issues and communicate status, risk, and escalation needs to operations and leadership.
• Perform preventive maintenance routes and document work completed, findings, parts used, and follow-up actions.
• Support electrical and mechanical troubleshooting within training, authorization, and applicable safety requirements; coordinate licensed contractors when required.
• Maintain an organized work-order log, equipment history, critical spare-parts list, and vendor contact information.
• Coordinate contractor access and work windows, review scopes, monitor work quality, and confirm completion before invoice approval.
• Identify repeat failures and recommend corrective actions, repair-versus-replace options, and practical reliability improvements.
• Support clean-room environmental controls, facility inspections, hurricane readiness, life-safety systems, and exterior asset upkeep.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, EHS/quality, supply chain, and People & Culture to complete work safely with minimal operational disruption.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school, apprenticeship, or trade training is preferred.
• At least three years of industrial, commercial, or manufacturing maintenance experience is preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical fundamentals, motors, controls, and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, basic mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and service documentation.
• Experience coordinating vendors and maintaining clear work-order or maintenance records.
• Strong judgment, urgency, follow-through, and ability to prioritize safety and production-critical work.
• Clear communication skills and a service-oriented approach with internal customers and external contractors.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office and learn a computerized maintenance or work-order tracking system.

• Experience supporting clean rooms, semiconductor equipment, precision manufacturing, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• EPA Section 608, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or related trade certification.
• Lockout/tagout, electrical safety, forklift, aerial lift, or other relevant safety training.
• Experience establishing PM schedules, spare-parts controls, equipment histories, or vendor scorecards.

Work is performed across office, manufacturing, shop, utility, rooftop, and clean-room support areas. The role regularly requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, using hand and power tools, and wearing required personal protective equipment. The employee must be able to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, with assistance or mechanical devices used when appropriate. Full-time, on-site position. The initial arrangement is expected to be temporary-to-permanent. Occasional early, late, or after-hours response may be required for urgent facility conditions, subject to company scheduling and pay practices.
