Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Nursing Support Registered Nurse to care for patients in the hospital.

Description of department: Nursing Support is our Hospital based Float Pool. The float pool supplements staffing throughout the hospital based on need. Nurses who work in the Citizens Memorial Float Pool will be trained to float and support in a variety of areas.

• Medical Surgical- 28 bed unit staffing ratio of 1:5-6
• Intensive Care-8 bed unit staffing ratio of 1:2-3
• Telemetry- 8 bed unit staffing ratio of 1:4-5
• Geriatric Psych- 12 bed unit staffing ratio of 1:6
• Birth Place- 8 bed unit staffing ratio of 1:2-3
• Emergency Dept-12 bed unit staffing ratio of 1:3-4
• ASC- pre/post op recovery

A typical day will include: Receive your shift assignment, bedside shift report, initial assessments, BMV scanning and med pass, coordinating and providing cares utilizing critical thinking framework, assisting with meals and daily hygiene, effectively educating patient/family from admission to discharge, maintaining patient/family confidentiality and privacy, demonstrating competence and knowledge that reflect current nursing practice

The position is PRN, Days

Job Requirements:

• Education: Associates degree or Bachelors Degree
• Skills: Patient care
• License: RN,BSN
