The Scholarships/Funds Management team of the StudentFinancial Aid Office is seeking an enthusiastic individual to work asAccounting Intern. The selected individual will perform various clerical androutine accounting tasks in support of the Financial Aid Office.
*Creation and maintenance of spreadsheets
*Verifying and processing of departmental award and tuitionpayment forms
*Assist in the performance of various account reconciliationprocesses

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Preparation of spreadsheets for financial analysis
*Data entry into Banner (UNM's financial system) for fundingtransactions
*Running queries for data and reporting
*Journal entry preparation
*Account reconciliation
*Ensures strict confidentiality of financial records, incompliance with federal and state privacy legislation
*Follows established departmental policies, procedures, andobjectives
*Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
*Process off-campus billing
*Creation and maintenance of spreadsheets
*Verifying and processing of departmental award and tuitionpayment forms
