The Penobscot Bay YMCA is seeking a dynamic, people-centered leader to guide and grow our Health & Wellness programs across our Rockport and Rockland branches. This is an opportunity to shape programming, inspire a team, and create welcoming spaces where individuals and families thrive.

What You’ll Do• Lead and expand health & wellness programs for all ages and abilities
• Supervise, support, and inspire instructors, trainers, and volunteers
• Lead from the floor by teaching group fitness classes and/or providing personal training as needed to support programming and
member engagement
• Ensure safe, welcoming, and well-maintained wellness spaces and equipment
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, budgeting, and program registration (Daxko)
• Monitor participation and adjust programming based on member feedback and community needs
• Serve as a key point of contact for the Rockland Harbor branch
• Support YMCA events and community engagement initiatives
• Collaborate across departments to deliver a positive, mission-driven experience

A bachelor’s degree in a health-related field OR equivalent experience is preferred.
- A willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, AED, and relevant fitness certifications within a reasonable timeframe is required. Training & support are provided.
This role includes active participation in wellness spaces and may require standing, walking, lifting, and demonstrating exercises. Evening and weekend availability is part of serving our community.
