Early Childhood Music Teacher - Mommy and Me at Tina Mar Inc – New York, New York

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Music Teacher or performer with a musical theater background to bring energy, creativity, and joy to our Rock, Smocks, and Animals classes, held Monday–Thursday mornings.

This unique, semester-long program is designed for young children (ages 14 months to 3 years) and their caregivers. Each week, our class comes to life through music, movement, and discovery—featuring a new animal theme, interactive activities, and plenty of opportunities for connection and play. Every other week, children also enjoy a hands-on art project that ties into the theme.

As the lead teacher and vocalist, you’ll guide the class through engaging songs, playful interactions, and instrument exploration, creating a warm and welcoming environment for both children and adults. You’ll also lead the art activity, helping bring each week’s theme full circle.

You’ll be supported by an acoustic guitarist who will accompany you during class, and you’ll have access to a thoughtfully prepared curriculum, including weekly lesson plans and set lists—so you can arrive confident, prepared, and ready to shine.

Having experience with young children and their families a plus. Interviews and auditions will take place asap.

We are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Teacher or a person with a back ground in musical theater to lead our Rock Smocks and Animals class. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and families with a music and singing background.

**Responsibilities:**

- Follow our and implement original age-appropriate curriculum

- Provide a safe friendly engaging and nurturing environment for children

- Be comfortable leading a group of families with their singing voice

- Collaborate with parents and caregivers on creating a wonderful class environment

- Manage classroom activities effectively

- Utilize behavior management techniques when necessary

**Experience:**

- Previous experience with music education.

- Knowledge of early childhood education principles

- Ability to work with very young children ages starting 6 mos - 3 years.

- comfortable sitting on the floor and running an energetic circle time class structure.

Comfortable singing with guitar and an accompanist.
