Maintenance Technician at Pax Properties – Ocala, Florida

Summary

We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This role is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and functionality of the property while ensuring a positive experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently during the evening shift.Schedule

• Part-Time
• Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (including weekends and holidays as needed)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs in guest rooms and public areas
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to:
  • HVAC systems
  • Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixtures)
  • Electrical systems (lighting, outlets, minor repairs)
  • Appliances and equipment
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled
• Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and equipment
• Maintain grounds and exterior areas as needed
• Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
• Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Assist with room turns and ensure rooms are guest-ready when needed

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience required (hotel or similar environment preferred)
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair work
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Dependable with a strong work ethic
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, bending, climbing ladders)
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Skills

• Experience in hospitality or property maintenance
• Strong customer service skills when interacting with guests
