The Position:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to join the Reimbursement Operations team at Veracyte. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work with business partners to identify opportunities for operational process improvements through harmonization of workflows across systems and platforms within the revenue cycle operations.

The Senior Business analyst will work closely with the technical product managers, Vendors, reimbursement operational leaders and members of the Software and Technologies teams. This role will be critical to ensuring robust

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed process maps in Lucid Chart/Visio for revenue cycle workflows (patient access, coding, billing, claims, collections)
  • Analyze current business processes and systems, identify gaps, inefficiencies, and risks, and recommend process or system based solutions to idrive improvements
  • Work with business and solution delivery owners to define and document requirements for the assigned products and services, as well as write user stories, acceptance criteria, feature description decks, process flows, manage traceability and UAT.
  • Design and deliver scalable, system-based solutions by producing clear problem statements, process maps, business requirements, success metrics, and post implementation performance reviews.
  • Maintain a solid knowledge base of the functional and system capabilities of the various areas and products within the assigned product portfolio.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and change management activities.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between business users and technical teams.
  • Communicate project updates, issues, and risks to senior leadership.
  • Support audits, data integrity reviews, and documentation readiness.
  • Take a proactive role in evaluating and implementing revenue cycle technologies (OCR, AI, integrations, automations, et al.) to enhance operational effectiveness
Who You Are:
  • Bachelors degree in business, information systems, life sciences, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in revenue cycle operations, healthcare analytics, or business analysis or similar role in diagnostics.
  • Strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes, including billing, coding, claims, and reimbursement.
  • Experience with EHR and practice management systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth) and Familiarity with clearinghouses and payer workflows.
  • Proficiency in process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio) and data analysis tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Experience working with technical teams to implement business process in SalesForce Medical Billing Systems (XiFin, Quadax), Prior Authorization, EMR etc
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience, skillset, geographic location, industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.

Pay range
$125,000—$140,000 USD
