Position Summary
The Low Voltage Cable Technician is responsible for assisting with the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems in commercial construction environments. This position requires hands-on fieldwork, the ability to work at heights, and adherence to company and client safety standards.Essential Job Functions
  • Pull, route, secure, test, and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, coaxial, etc.)
  • Install and secure support structures, including cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, and pathways
  • Work from ladders (6ft/8ft/10ft) and operate scissor and boom lifts safely
  • Read and follow basic construction drawings and project instructions
  • Operate hand and power tools proficiently
  • Maintain job site safety and comply with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Follow directions from Lead Technicians and Foreman
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods
  • Work at heights and on ladders and lifts
  • Work in commercial construction environments, including unfinished buildings
  • Exposure to dust, noise, and varying indoor/outdoor temperatures
Qualifications
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable and punctual with strong communication skills
  • Flexible schedule, including overtime as needed
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:
  • OSHA 10 Certification
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Prior low-voltage or construction experience
