The Low Voltage Cable Technician is responsible for assisting with the installation, termination, and testing of structured cabling systems in commercial construction environments. This position requires hands-on fieldwork, the ability to work at heights, and adherence to company and client safety standards.Essential Job Functions
- Pull, route, secure, test, and terminate low-voltage cabling (Cat6, fiber, coaxial, etc.)
- Install and secure support structures, including cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, and pathways
- Work from ladders (6ft/8ft/10ft) and operate scissor and boom lifts safely
- Read and follow basic construction drawings and project instructions
- Operate hand and power tools proficiently
- Maintain job site safety and comply with OSHA and company safety standards
- Follow directions from Lead Technicians and Foreman
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
- Lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods
- Work at heights and on ladders and lifts
- Work in commercial construction environments, including unfinished buildings
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying indoor/outdoor temperatures
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable and punctual with strong communication skills
- Flexible schedule, including overtime as needed
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Prior low-voltage or construction experience
