We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Application Support and Development to lead the support, enhancement, and strategic utilization of our SAS-based application ecosystem. This role is critical to ensuring seamless integration across platforms, managing custom development efforts with external vendors, and driving operational excellence through optimized application use.

Key ResponsibilitiesVendor Management & Custom Development
  • Oversee and coordinate all custom development initiatives executed by third-party vendors.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables align with business requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external development teams.
  • Manage project budget and scope
Application Integration
  • Manage interface development and maintenance between various SAS-based and ancillary applications.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across integrated systems.
  • Collaborate with IT infrastructure and data teams to support robust integration frameworks.
Team Oversight, Governance, and Development
  • Manage application engineers, assigning tasks/projects and tracking progress
  • Set team direction and ensure completion of goals
  • Develop team members consisting of both direct reports and matrix managed individuals
Operational Excellence
  • Monitor and improve application performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for application support, incident management, and change control.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of application issues.
Strategic Application Utilization
  • Identify opportunities to leverage SAS applications more effectively to meet business goals.
  • Partner with business units to understand needs and translate them into application enhancements.
  • Promote user adoption and training initiatives to maximize ROI on application investments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Infrastructure team to ensure system compatibility, performance, and security.
  • Collaborate with Operational Leadership to align application capabilities with business workflows and priorities.
  • Partner with Finance to support reporting, compliance, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
  • Foster strong relationships across departments to ensure technology solutions are aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in application support and development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or coordination role.
  • Strong background in SAS technologies and enterprise application integration.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP system.
  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships and custom development projects.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Industry experience in light industrial and hospitality sectors a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
  • Experience with cloud-based application environments and APIs.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
