About This Position
Akira Technologies is seeking an Intelligence Management Specialist to provide comprehensive intelligence and administrative support to analysts, engineers, and scientists across multiple intelligence disciplines. This role supports defense intelligence production through coordination of taskings, document review, dissemination activities, and cross-organizational collaboration within the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC).
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mission knowledge, editorial expertise, and analytic support capabilities, with the ability to synthesize complex or incomplete information into concise, accurate, and mission-relevant products. This position requires familiarity with Army editorial standards, classification guidance, and the DIA Style Guide, along with the ability to operate independently while supporting high-visibility intelligence activities and leadership requirements.
This is an onsite role supporting a government client in Fort Belvoir, VA. An active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of intelligence and administrative support to analysts, engineers, and scientists supporting multiple intelligence disciplines and mission activities.
- Review intelligence products and supporting documentation for accuracy, formatting compliance, classification markings, and adherence to Army editing standards and the DIA Style Guide.
- Respond to staff requests related to accessing, coordinating, consolidating, and formatting intelligence information and analytic products.
- Assist with administration and management of Requests for Information (RFIs), task actions, production requirements, reports, and briefings.
- Prepare correspondence, coordination packages, and supporting documentation required to manage intelligence programs and associated activities.
- Develop read-ahead materials, executive briefing packages, and meeting support documentation for leadership engagements and official functions.
- Coordinate with security personnel to ensure appropriate access for visitors supporting meetings, briefings, and mission activities.
- Support preparation and organization of read-ahead books and materials for official events and senior-level engagements.
- Provide cross-domain data transfer support and assist with dissemination of intelligence products across multiple networks and platforms.
- Structure analytic support activities using trends in reporting and perspectives from analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines across the IC.
- Communicate insights derived from incomplete, indirect, technically complex, or seemingly unrelated information sources.
- Develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive intelligence support products aligned with defense intelligence priorities.
- Collaborate with IC partners to support information sharing, drive collection coordination efforts, and assist in resolving analytic disputes and coordination challenges.
- Lead or support teams researching multifaceted or mission-critical intelligence support issues.
- Provide guidance in selecting, designing, and applying analytic methodologies supporting intelligence production.
- Apply argument evaluation techniques and validated analytic methodologies to assess alternative analytic perspectives.
- Operate independently with minimal oversight while supporting cross-organizational intelligence coordination requirements.
Job Qualifications
- Active Top Secret / SCI clearance
- Minimum of 8 years demonstrated experience supporting intelligence production environments within the DoD or Intelligence Community
- Minimum 7 years of demonstrated experience supporting intelligence disciplines within the DoD or Intelligence Community, including experience within the last 2 years
- Strong knowledge of Army editing standards, classification guidance, and DIA Style Guide
- Experience coordinating RFIs, task actions, reports, and briefing support activities
- Experience supporting cross-domain data transfers and intelligence dissemination processes
- Demonstrated ability to support senior-level meetings, read-ahead preparation, and executive coordination requirements
- Strong written communication, editorial judgment, and collaboration skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution
- Experience supporting analytic production coordination across multiple IC organizations
- Experience assisting with intelligence task management workflows and production tracking systems
- Experience supporting executive-level intelligence coordination activities
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
Akira’s pay range for this position considers various factors including skills, years of experience, training, licenses, certifications, alignment with market data, and internal equity in the organization. This pay range estimate is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, which Akira believes to be done in good faith in compliance with local laws. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
