About This Position
Maintenance Technician Position Overview
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role ensures all machinery, tools, and building infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards to support continuous production. Reports To: Backshops and Facilities Manager
Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including CNC machines, presses, conveyors, and other production systems Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and perform timely repairs Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime Maintain and repair facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, company policies, and aerospace quality standards Assist in equipment installation, upgrades, and modifications Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and parts inventory Coordinate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability Support emergency repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns as needed
Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (aerospace preferred) Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Experience with CNC machinery and automated production equipment highly preferred Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documents Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems (CMMS experience a plus) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Work Environment:Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures May require lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in confined or elevated spaces Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or on-call shifts as needed
