Technologist II (Rehab) at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department is seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Tech II to work on the inpatient rehabilitation nursing units at Willis Knighton Rehabilitation Institute. This individual must be able to work effectively with the Inpatient Rehab interdisciplinary team, which includes other techs, LPNs, RNs, and therapy staff. The Rehab Tech II is responsible for assisting patients with their daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and meals. Also, Rehab Tech II must be physically able to assist the patient with transfers. The level of assistance required is individual to each specific patient. Applicants for this position must have self-motivation, demonstrate flexibility with work assignments, and also have excellent time management skills. The applicant must be willing to work 12-hour shifts. Preference is given to applicants with prior experience, but prior experience is not mandatory. The new employee will be required to attend hospital orientation as well as receive departmental orientation.
