The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department is seeking a full-time Rehabilitation Tech to work on the inpatient rehabilitation nursing units at Willis Knighton Rehabilitation Institute. This individual must be able to work effectively with the Inpatient Rehab interdisciplinary team, which includes other techs, LPNs, RNs, and therapy staff. The Rehab Tech is responsible for assisting patients with their daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and meals. Also, the Rehab Tech must be physically able to assist the patient with transfers. The level of assistance required is individual to each specific patient.  Applicants for this position must have self-motivation, demonstrate flexibility with work assignments, and also have excellent time management skills. The applicant must be willing to work 12-hour shifts. The new employee will be required to attend hospital orientation as well as receive department orientation.
