EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and three to five years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
The role is administrative support to the purchasing department, including processing purchase requisitions, tracking shipments, assisting with researching new suppliers, and maintaining accurate records of purchase requisition history. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth procurement processes and support for the purchasing team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Purchase Requisition Management: Create, process, and track purchase requisitions.
- Vendor Communication: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to confirm details, update due dates, and effectively communicate with all plant team members.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitor shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on purchasing activities.
- Department Coordination: Communicate with other departments to understand their purchasing needs.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills, computer proficiency, attention to detail
- Preparing and sending purchase requisitions to the plant team.
- Cross-referencing product deliveries with POs to check for discrepancies.
- Assisting with administrative tasks to support the Purchasing team.
- Assist with tool crib activity as needed. Stocking, inventory monitoring, and PR creation.
- Perform other duties as needed by the Manager.
COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
- Maintaining, updating, and operating internal databases with orders, costs, along with Purchase Requisition, and matching PO details.
- Strong skills in MS Excel and ability to navigate business software.
