Description:

As Sales Specialist, your will spend your days welcoming and engaging current and prospective Pella by Horne customers in our state-of-the-art Traverse City Experience Center (aka customer product showroom). Through building quick rapport, you will identify customer needs and apply your knowledge of product and business processes to earn trust and provide solutions. Your ultimate goal is to develop repeat and new business for our sales team.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Greeting current and prospective customers in our showroom in Traverse City, asking questions to learn about their window and door needs and desires, and enthusiastically sharing information and demonstrating through physical and digital displays how our Pella products can meet their needs.
  2. Telephone, email, and social media outreach to prospective home builders and contractors, with the goal of setting appointments for Pella's sales team.
  3. Various daily sales tasks including scheduling product deliveries, preparing estimates for product orders, and service coordination. Also various tasks that support the operation of the showroom facility.
  4. Assisting our sales team in planning and executing customer events in our Pella Experience Center.
Requirements:

The Successful Sales Specialist will…

  • Be confident, social and outgoing. Work with a positive attitude and a passion for helping others. Listen with interest, empathy, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communication and presentation skills, one-on-one and to small groups. Understand and respond to non-verbal communication cues.
  • Enjoy healthy competition. They hate to lose and will be persistent and persuasive in negotiation and following up on potential business opportunities.
  • Be tech and people savvy. 2+ successful years in a customer service or sales role. Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software such as Salesforce or other order management system preferred. Familiarity with business development outbound calling techniques a plus. Willingness to make warm outbound prospecting calls a requirement.
  • Since you are the core employee on-staff at the Experience Center during opening hours, you must be able to consistently work Tuesday through Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm and Saturday 10:00am-2:00pm. You will have 1 Saturday off per month.
