Accounts Receivable Specialist in Tacoma, Washington at Bargreen Ellingson Inc

Bargreen Ellingson is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our corporate office in Tacoma, Washington. This role provides financial, administrative, and clerical services. Accounts receivable duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of processing and monitoring incoming payments and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. Collections is primarily responsible for contacting delinquent accounts and resolving discrepancies, extending credit, setting limits, terms and changing as needed

Responsibilities:

• Code and post payment to customer accounts and general ledger
• Process credit card payments
• Prepare bank deposits
• Electronically scan and file documents
• Verify and research discrepancies to resolve customer billing issues
• Generate and manage aging reports. Review with sales staff and Credit Manager
• Daily follow up with delinquent customers and document collection efforts
• Completes credit application investigation, sets terms and limits.
• Creates and maintains strong working relationships

Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Excellent Data entry and 10 key skills
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work with strong organizational skills
• Customer service orientated
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge and understanding of credit and collection terms
• 2+ years B2B collections experience preferred
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Work Environment:

• Generally indoor work environment with variable conditions.

Physical demands:

• Occasionally stand, stoop, bend and kneel.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, read, and identify numbers
