Certified Lifeguard — Seasonal Positions in Austin, Texas at Anderson Mill Limited District

Anderson Mill Limited District is hiring Certified Lifeguards for our Anderson Mill and El Salido pools. If you're trained, alert, and ready to make a real impact protecting swimmers, we want you on our team.

The Role

As a Certified Lifeguard, you'll be the watchful presence that lets families enjoy our pools confidently. You'll actively monitor swimmers, respond to emergencies, maintain pool safety standards, and help ensure every patron has a great aquatic experience. It's part eagle-eye, part safety expert, all important.

You'll also keep our facilities clean and welcoming, conduct swim tests, assist with safety equipment, and participate in team training and drills that keep everyone sharp. When people come to Anderson Mill pools, they're counting on you.

Flexible, Seasonal Position

• Hours: Part-time
• Shifts: Mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays
• Locations: Anderson Mill Pool or El Salido Pool, both in North Austin

What You Need

• Required: Current Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid Certification (Red Cross preferred) before your first day
• Required: Ability to swim 200 yards of front crawl or breaststroke without stopping
• Required: Age 15+
• Required: Pass drug screening (and background check if 18+)
• Must have: Clear, calm judgment under pressure and the ability to communicate effectively

Nice-to-Have

• High school diploma or equivalent (in progress is fine)
• Customer service or public-facing experience
• Comfort working outdoors in varying temperatures

Physical Requirements

You'll be on your feet frequently, occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, and constantly scanning for safety. You need clear vision, good hearing, and the physical fitness to perform lifeguard duties.
