Payroll Specialist (On-site) at Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare – Pomona, California

In the decades that followed, we continued to expand our care to include a state-of-the-art hospital that offers acute rehabilitation & medical-surgical care, as well as a broad range of outpatient services that includes specialized physician clinics, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, neuropsychology, diagnostic imaging, children's services and even an outdoor recreation program for people with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll under the direction of the Payroll Manager:

• Completing all phases of payroll processing independently
• Reviewing and trouble-shooting employees’ electronic time records, including differentials, over-time, call, premiums, and other pay for 24/7 hospital operations
• Reviewing and analyzing payroll taxes and deductions
• Responding to employee payroll inquiries
• Supporting internal and external audits and assisting with other projects

Qualifications:

• Two to Four (2-4) years payroll experience with complex pay rules, preferably in a hospital or large healthcare environment
• Demonstrated experience processing payroll for 1,000+ employees
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional customer service and teamwork
• Preferred – UKG/Kronos experience
• Capable of safely performing the essential functions of the position.
