Staff Accountant at Boardwalk Puzzles – Lindon, Utah

Americana Art Enterprises is seeking a part-time Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining financial records of our company, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and analytical skills, as well as experience with accounting software and basic accounting principals.

Responsibilities:

Oversee general bookkeeping for the company

Manage accounts payable

• Reconcile invoices
• Make journal entries
• Validate vendor accounts
• Write checks and process ACH payments

Manage accounts receivable

• Send invoices and follow up to ensure the company is paid according to terms
• Follow up on past due accounts receivable
• Send accounts to collection as needed
• Make deposits into the company's accounts

Reconcile credit card charges and manage bank accounts

Manage the Costco hub

Set up new vendors and apply for credit

Manage collection and reporting of data for the annual R&D Study

Manage Avalara and sales tax filings for states

Assist with other accounting needs

Apply for credit accounts with vendors

Other Responsibilities may include:

• Assist with special events as needed
• Assist operations team in establishing and managing EDI (electronic data interchange) Platforms
  • Commerce Hub (Costco)
  • SPS Commerce (Ace Hardware, Associated, Midstate's, Barnes and Noble)
  • Channel Advisor (Target.com, Walmart.com, E-Bay, Amazon)
  • Faire, RangeMe
• Assist with inventory management in Fishbowl
• Other project as directed

Requirements:

3-4 years experience as a bookkeeper, accounts payable/receivable clerk, or accountant

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management, or related field preferred

Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets

Ability to learn new software systems quickly

Extreme attention to detail
