🎯 About the Role

The RN Surgical Billing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the billing function for all surgical and procedural activity. Ensures all billing services are captured accurately and in a timely manner. Serve as a liaison between surgical vendors and hospital departments to ensure identification and charges are accurate for items used during procedure. Investigates and reconciles any discrepancies.

🔍 What You’ll Do

• Audits patient surgical charts to investigate and reconcile any discrepancies. .
• Verifies invoices submitted by vendors by comparing patient record to vendor receipt to ensure accurate patient billing.
• Ensures and validates all charge information is accurately captured
• Reviews information and reconciles charge information.
• Verify time-based charging by reviewing of all surgical and procedural room times and discharge times for accuracy, and enter and exit times in recovery phase.
• Works with surgical staff to correct documentation discrepancies that affect billing. Reinforces correct documentation with staff.
• Assists in trouble shooting billing issues. Investigate and remedy surgical/procedure charges, supplies and implant omissions.

📋 What You Bring:

NYS RN required. Surgical Scrub/OR circulating experience.
