Referral Coordinator at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital – Clinton, Missouri

The referral coordinator is responsible for processing and coordinating patient referrals both within and outside the GVMH facility. This position is responsible for assisting providers and patients with the referral process for specialty care and diagnostic services in a timely manner. This position will also provide backup support for centralized scheduling as well as obtaining prior authorizations needed for certain insurance. This individual reports to the director of centralized scheduling.

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to clearly communicate with patients, providers, visitors, insurance companies, and employees both over the phone and in person
Ability to read and understand basic medical terminology, findings, and results
Data entry and Microsoft Office proficiency
