Faculty Positions (Multiple Roles), Montefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine – New York, New York

The Department of Radiology at Montefiore Medical Center & Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City is seeking to fill multiple (7 positions over 3 years) research faculty positions in biomedical imaging research. Rank of assistant, associate or full professor and startup are commensurate with experience and achievement. Areas of strategic focus include:

• Clinical imaging methods and applications
• Image analysis - including but not limited to machine learning
• Oncological and neurological imaging

Montefiore-Einstein is nationally recognized for clinical excellence—breaking new ground in research, training the next generation of healthcare leaders, and delivering science-driven, patient-centered care. We are one of the largest health systems in the New York City metropolitan areas that serve a large and diverse patient population. Montefiore-Einstein has an annual NIH grant funding of $193M (FY2023), Radiology has an annual NIH grant funding of $5.1M (FY2023) as principal investigators. Montefiore-Einstein is home of many Centers of Excellence, including 8 NIH-designated research centers. Montefiore-Einstein Radiology has over 75 FTE radiologists and a large array of imaging facilities across 3 acute care hospitals, a dedicated children’s hospital as well as multiple satellite clinics across the metropolitan areas, conducive to clinical research. The Gruss Magnetic Resonance Research Center (Radiology) has 6 imaging research faculty and an array of research-dedicated human and animal imaging scanners. Other Radiology research activities include 3D printing. A new 7T Bruker animal MRI scanner is being installed.

Successful candidates are expected to conduct independent research, secure grant funding, and mentor trainees in research, and work collaboratively with investigators in the department and the institution. Senior level appointment requires a established history of research accomplishment and grant funding, as well as active grants.

The salary range for this role is $125,000 - $250,000.
