Testing Proctor / Assistant Registrar
Position Summary

The Testing Proctor / Assistant Registrar is responsible for administering admissions, placement, and assessment examinations while providing administrative support to the Registrar's Office. This position ensures the integrity of the testing process, maintains accurate student records, and supports enrollment, registration, and compliance activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Testing Administration
Administer and proctor student assessments, including:
Accuplacer
CELSA (Combined English Language Skills Assessment)
Wonderlic
Ability-to-Benefit (ATB) examinations
Other admissions, placement, and institutional assessments as assigned
Verify student identity and eligibility prior to testing.
Ensure compliance with testing policies, procedures, and security requirements.
Monitor testing sessions and maintain a secure testing environment.
Provide instructions and technical assistance to test-takers.
Maintain testing schedules and coordinate appointments with students and staff.
Process, record, and distribute test results as appropriate.
Registrar Support
Assist with student registration and enrollment processes.
Maintain accurate student academic records and files.
Enter and update student information in the Student Information System (SIS).
Assist with transcript requests, enrollment verifications, and academic documentation.
Support graduation audits and student record reviews.
Ensure compliance with institutional, state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
Assist with audits and records management activities.
Student Services
Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
Respond to inquiries regarding testing, registration, and student records.
Assist students with completing required forms and documentation.
Support new student onboarding and orientation activities as needed.
Qualifications
Required
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum one year of administrative, educational, testing, or student services experience.
Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred
Experience in higher education, vocational education, or student services.
Experience administering Accuplacer, CELSA, Wonderlic, or other standardized assessments.
Knowledge of registrar functions, academic records, and compliance requirements.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Commitment to maintaining testing integrity and student confidentiality.
Work Environment
Office and educational environment.
Frequent interaction with students, faculty, and administrative staff.
May require occasional evening or weekend hours based on testing and registration schedules.
