Finance Analyst Intern at Nissin Foods – Gardena, California

This position is a summer internship from June-August.

Job Summary

The Finance Analyst supports the Company’s operational activities through unbiased, fact-based, analysis and decision-support. They will support the Manager (FP&A) and VP of Finance (ad hoc basis) in all planning, budgeting, forecasting, & financial reporting efforts. Financial Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally to provide thoughtful & thorough analyses, align the team on recommendations and communicate areas of risk and opportunities related to both projects and the Company’s overall financial performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support Corporate Finance Department in performing account analysis, period closes, forecast analysis, category analysis.
• Support period closes process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of financial results
• Assist with annual planning and forecasting activities and coordination of assumptions to be used in forecast analytics as well as presentations for leadership.
• Prepare reporting detailing changes in the business where results differ from budget / prior year / forecast. Including business unit details and overall explanations of variance.
• Ability to work across financial functions to complete variance analysis and financial projections.
• Work with finance leads and cross-functional team members regularly to update financial forecasts.
• Assist in the development of decision support financial modeling and ad hoc reporting as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Required:

• Pursuing BS/BA Business or Accounting Degree
• Strong Excel skills

Preferred:

• Prior hands-on accounting experience is a plus
