Job Description
This role will oversee all Human Resource functions for Pump and Meter. Duties will include keeping current on HR laws and policies, processing employee leaves, drafting HR documents, training management on HR procedures, administering benefits, and overseeing the hiring and onboarding process for all employees.
Requirements:RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, disciplinary action, and leave documentation.
- Process and coordinate with employees and managers regarding the total leave processes from start to finish.
- Process and oversee payroll accuracy.
- Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, benefits, and regulations.
- Maintain employee files and documentation.
- Create employee engagement plans and activities.
- Evaluate employee performance and build employee pay scales.
- Create disciplinary action policies and partner with management on implementation and record keeping.
- Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- Hire employees and process hiring-related paperwork.
- Coordinate and schedule drug screens and background checks.
- Maintain and update human resource documents, such as organizational charts, employee handbooks or directories, or performance evaluation forms.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed.
- Administer employee benefit plans.
- Coordinate with outside staffing agencies to secure temporary employees, based on departmental needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years’ experience in human resources or HR management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent time management.
- Excellent problem-solving attitude and abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Primarily perform work in an office setting and use standard office equipment. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person, or over the telephone.
