POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources Representative serves as the primary contact for Frontier Door & Cabinet's El Paso manufacturing facility. This role blends hands-on HR generalist responsibilities with active involvement in recruiting, safety compliance, and employee relations while supporting a frontline workforce and coordinating closely with out-of-state leadership. The ideal candidate brings 2–3 years of HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting and thrives in a fast-paced, bilingual (English/Spanish) environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee day-to-day people operations for the El Paso manufacturing facility, coordinating workforce needs, resolving employee issues, and partnering with out-of-state leadership to implement operational improvements.
  • Serve as the primary HR point of contact for frontline employees and managers with handling questions, concerns, and day-to-day guidance on HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and current employee records, personnel files, and HRIS data in compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.
  • Support timekeeping and attendance tracking; assist managers with documentation related to absences, LOAs, and performance issues.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws including EEO, FMLA, ADA, and Texas-specific labor regulations.
  • Manage investigations into workplace incidents, policy violations, interpersonal conflicts and documenting findings and advising managers on appropriate, consistent outcomes.
  • Prepare written documentation for verbal and written warnings, performance improvement plans, and separations; ensure consistency and compliance throughout disciplinary processes.
  • Promote a positive, respectful workplace culture through proactive communication, fair conflict resolution, and consistent policy application.
  • Manage the full recruiting and onboarding cycle for the Southwest Division, coordinating with department leads to fill roles quickly and efficiently.
  • Lead weekly onboarding and orientation sessions, ensuring new employees are trained on safety protocols, facility procedures, and company policies from day one.
  • Post job openings, screen applicants, coordinate interviews, extend offers, and facilitate pre-employment steps including background checks and drug screens.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for high-turnover and critical positions.
  • Support the Safety Manager in OSHA compliance, accident prevention programs, and regular workplace safety inspections across facilities; ensure corrective actions are followed through.
  • Guide employees through benefits enrollment, changes, and questions. Coordinating with HR Director to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist with annual open enrollment, including preparation of materials and bilingual employee communications.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

  • 2–3 years of HR generalist or HR representative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish — written and verbal — required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters, conducting investigations, and preparing HR documentation.
  • Experience supporting or leading recruiting and onboarding processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS/ATS platforms.
