As we expand our footprint, we are looking for a powerhouse Senior Irrigation & Drainage Leader who wants to be a true foundational force in our company. This is a hands-on, "working leader" role. You will lead by example—working directly in the field alongside your crew while simultaneously building, mentoring, and scaling your own team from the ground up. Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities
Hands-On Execution & Water Management
- Lead from the Front: Work directly on the job site every day, executing installations, troubleshooting, and repairs right alongside your crew.
- Irrigation Installation: Lay out, trench, pipe, and zone full residential and light commercial irrigation systems.
- Drainage Solutions: Evaluate property grading issues and install advanced drainage systems (French drains, catch basins, channel drains) to resolve complex water problems.
- Landscape Integration: Use your landscaping knowledge to ensure all installs integrate perfectly with existing turf, plants, and hardscape, minimizing property disruption.
Project Profitability & Financial Accountability
- Labor & Schedule Efficiency: Manage your crew's daily hours, eliminate idle time, and optimize field routing to keep labor costs within budget.
- Material & Waste Management: Accurately estimate parts required for each project, manage stock on your truck, and minimize waste to protect job gross margins.
- Profitable Upselling: Identify and propose out-of-scope drainage repairs or smart-system upgrades to clients on-site to generate high-margin revenue.
- Receipt & Tool Stewardship: Ensure team tools are maintained to avoid costly replacements.
Team Building & Mentorship
- Build Your Team: Help interview, hire, and select the junior technicians who will make up your dedicated crew as we expand.
- On-the-Job Training: Teach your crew proper mechanical techniques, trenching safety, and efficient work habits by demonstrating them live on the job.
- Culture Stewardship: Maintain a high-energy, positive, and respectful team environment where everyone works hard and pulls together.
5-Star Customer Experience
- Customer-First Attitude: Bring a friendly, solution-oriented face to every property, ensuring clients feel valued and respected.
- Consultative Advice: Explain technical irrigation or drainage issues clearly to homeowners, offering smart-system or water-saving upgrades.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the job site is left immaculate, neat, and structurally sound, leaving every yard looking better than you found it.
Diagnostics & Field Operations
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex wiring issues, faulty timers, sensors, and commercial pumps.
- Operational Control: Use company CRM tools on your phone to log client notes, track parts inventory, and manage daily field data.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on field experience in irrigation installation, repair, and drainage systems.
- Landscaping Knowledge: Strong understanding of landscape layouts, plant/turf care, and soil types is not required but a major plus.
- Leadership Style: A "lead-by-example" mindset—you are someone who thrives on working hard in the field while guiding others.
- Attitude: High-energy, positive, and completely customer-obsessed.
- Licensing: Valid Texas Driver’s License with a clean driving record. TCEQ Licensed Irrigator (LI) or Technician (IT) is highly preferred.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read blueprints, navigate smartphone CRM apps, and safely operate trenchers or light excavation equipment.

Our core focus is fertilization/weed control, irrigation repair/installations, and light landscaping. We are a start-up on a mission to provide five-star customer service by making yards beautiful while conserving water.
