Position: Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)

Location: 1517 Durham Road, Penndel, PA 19047

Department: Outpatient

FT/PT: Part-time

Qualifications (Education and Experience): Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania, have an accredited graduate nursing degree with a mental health specialty, and have passed the national board certification exam. One year of mental health experience is preferred.

Other Requirements:

  • Agreed upon hours/week to include at least one evening or Saturday, which is subject to change upon agreement of both employee and employer.
  • Paid up to $5,000 of prorated malpractice insurance
  • All CRNPs must fulfill the requirement of obtaining and sustaining contractual agreements with supervising psychiatrists, as mandate by licensure.
  • All CRNPs are expected to fulfill the respective continuing education requirements needed to maintain their licensure.
  • All CRNPs are required to provide updated state licensure and DEA certificate.
  • All CRNPs are encouraged to pursue continuing professional development. Mandated is training and education on OSHA & bloodbourne pathogens, recovery & resiliency, and on Co-Occurring Disorders, Corporate Compliance and HIPAA.
  • CRNPs are required to participate in monthly Prescribers Meetings and in supervision with the Medical Director, as necessary.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Prescribes medication as indicated and appropriate and conducts regular medication monitoring visits.
  • Performs psychiatric evaluations, when approved, for the purpose of diagnosing the presence of mental illness and ongoing treatment planning
  • Monitors progress of treatment of an assigned caseload of clients, and make appropriate referrals to other services as needed and indicated.
  • Collaborates with members of the clinical/psychiatric/support staff, outside agency representatives, family members, and other appropriate persons regarding the treatment and status of shared clients.
  • Responds to internal behavioral health & medical crisis, as needed.
  • Completes all required documentation in a timely manner, including but not limited to comprehensive clinical charting, treatment plans, insurance authorizations, fiscal paperwork and outside agency requests for information
  • Participates in treatment planning meetings, staff development and training meetings as needed.
  • Attends and participates in staff conferences, individual case reviews, charting audits, and quality improvement activities as required.
  • Keeps current with trends and issues which impact our service delivery system including medical trends, recovery principles, and issues related to co-occurring disorders.
  • Follows all related PMHC policies and procedures, and conducts self in ethical and professional manner at all times.
  • Performs related duties as required/assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • Equipment use including but not limited to computer (including repetitive motions of typing, seeing monitor), copier, fax, printer, shredder, telephone, and voice mail
  • Sitting for extended periods of time, walking up stairs, balancing, reaching, bending, stretching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
