GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Planer Mill Infeed Forklift Operator will responsible for loading material from dry shed to the infeed of the tilt hoist.

FULL-TIME 40 HOURS PER WEEK

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for operating infeed forklift and maintaining proper housekeeping.

• Optimize loading for efficient production.

• Ensure products meet quality specifications.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Willing to work any shift including weekends, holidays, or overtime as needed.

• Commitment to safety.

• Excellent attendance record.

• Good communication skills.

• Ability to work in a team environment.

• Ability to learn and adapt to change.

• Ability to adhere to all safety policies and regulations including wearing safety equipment.

• Ability to work in noisy envirnoment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

• Ability to work from elevated positions using required safety gear and procedures.

• Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for extended periods of time.

• Able to work in a variety of environmental conditions."

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Preferred Experience:

• Driving and operating a mobile equipment such as front end loader, skid steer or forklift within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Basic computer skills.

• Experience working in lumber or wood products industry and/or manufacturing.

• Experience troubleshooting equipment.

• Sawmill experience preferred.
