Job Description

Professional Services Technical Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Professional Services Technical Architect based in Canada.

The role sits at the intersection of advanced DevOps engineering and customer-facing consulting, supporting enterprise organizations as they design, deploy, and scale modern software delivery platforms. You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout complex implementation journeys, from early discovery and architecture design through full production rollout. The position offers exposure to large-scale cloud and on-premises environments, with a strong emphasis on automation, security, and performance optimization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional delivery teams, partners, and customer stakeholders in a fully remote, asynchronous setting. This is a high-impact role where technical depth meets strategic influence, helping organizations accelerate their software delivery transformation. You will also contribute to reusable frameworks, best practices, and enablement materials that improve delivery consistency across engagements.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead end-to-end technical delivery for enterprise customer engagements, ensuring solutions are aligned with business needs and architectural best practices.

  • Lead technical discovery, scoping, and solution architecture design across complex DevOps and platform implementations
  • Design and deliver scalable reference architectures for cloud and self-managed environments using infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Guide migrations of source code, CI/CD pipelines, and repositories into modern DevSecOps platforms using enterprise-grade tooling
  • Deploy, configure, and optimize platform infrastructure across cloud providers and on-premises systems using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Oversee migration planning and execution, ensuring data integrity, minimal downtime, and secure transition strategies
  • Provide DevOps and DevSecOps advisory services, including best practices for governance, automation, and delivery optimization
  • Coordinate technical delivery across internal teams, partners, and customer stakeholders in a distributed, asynchronous environment
  • Develop reusable assets such as documentation, delivery kits, training materials, and case studies to improve delivery scalability
Requirements:

This role requires strong technical depth in DevOps engineering, architecture design, and enterprise software delivery, combined with excellent communication and consulting skills.

  • Proven experience in DevOps, cloud architecture, CI/CD consulting, or large-scale migration projects
  • Strong hands-on expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and configuration management tools like Ansible
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance software delivery platforms
  • Background in enterprise software engineering, with the ability to translate business needs into technical architecture
  • Experience performing complex migrations between source control and DevOps platforms, including migration tooling expertise
  • Solid understanding of data integrity, reliability, and system design trade-offs in distributed environments
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, with attention to maintainable and testable code practices
  • Ability to work effectively in remote, asynchronous environments with strong documentation and communication habits
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and market benchmarks (salary details typically shared during the hiring process)
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility and asynchronous collaboration
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness benefits (varies by region)
  • Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance
  • Equity or long-term incentive opportunities depending on role level and eligibility
  • Professional development support, including learning and growth programs
  • Parental leave and family support policies
  • Inclusive, global, and collaborative work culture focused on continuous learning.
