DescriptionEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as a Box Office representative, Ticket Taker, Usher and/or Court Monitor pending event needs and per assignment
Have familiarity with general MSEC offerings and day-of event details
Ensure adherence to MSEC policies, rules and procedures
Deliver exemplary customer service
Respond to all incidents, accidents, injuries and altercations
Help resolve guest concerns and/or direct to the appropriate Manager
Maintain calm during fast-paced and/or stressful situations
Roles
Box Office: Help transact day-of ticket sales via computer software system, processing credit cards and handling cash
Ticket Taker: Ensure proper entry to the event by scanning tickets and welcoming guests to the facility
Usher: Help direct guests through the building while offering general customer assistance and monitoring assigned areas
Court Monitor: Monitor assigned courts and spaces to ensure smooth event operation
Event setup/teardown: Move/stack/unload/load equipment required for the event
RequirementsExcellent communication skills

Ability to handle high-volume, difficult and/or stressful situations
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Ability to work well in a group setting
Ability to work irregular shifts to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed
Qualifications

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English. Ability to complete incident reports that accurately describe what occurred. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate seats remaining to ensure the number of spectators remains below established limits. Ability to estimate volume and area.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply sound judgment in the resolution of conflicts that may arise.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Google suite and the operation of Window-based PCs and peripherals (e.g. printers, scanners, barcode readers, cameras, etc.
