Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the application database and distribute to appropriate supervisors on a weekly basis.
- Maintain a list of all open positions, running ads when necessary.
- Process all potential employees (background checks, references, schedule interviews, drug screening) and ensure all new hire paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Submit Central Abuse Neglect Registry checks on all Children’s Services and D/ID employees.
- Verify all licenses and credentials of all new and current employees.
- Schedule new employees for new staff orientation.
- Send employment information packet to new employees.
- Open/create personnel charts on all new employees and maintain all personnel files ensuring up to date information (filing, disperse reminders to employees to maintain up to date records with personnel- i.e.: TB skin test, trainings, and licensure).
- Assist new and current employees with benefit/health insurance information.
- Enter deductions into payroll system in a timely manner.
- Process requested verifications of employment via telephone or faxed paperwork.
- Disperse evaluations to supervisors of all employees upon six months of employment and annually thereafter.
- Sit in on and transcribe notes taken during employee meeting with the HR Director.
- Terminate personnel charts on all terminated employees.
- Perform random drug screenings regularly or as needed.
- Assist current/prospective employees with any/all personnel issues.
- Complete driving records checks every 6 months or as needed.
- Complete quarterly reports for professional staff meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications Include: High School Diploma or GED with 5 years experience; Computer and typing skills; Organization skills; Submitting to and passing successfully a criminal records check and a drug screening test.
Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am until 4:30 pm. Different hours may be required with the job or may be adjusted by Supervisor.

- Ability to complete job tasks in a timely fashion.
- Ability to get along with diverse personalities and maintain effective working relationship.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The physical demands required to successfully perform this job include being able to push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk and lift up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable the individual with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- The employee will normally work indoors at the Corbin Regional Office but may on occasion be required to work outside or at another location. The noise level in the work environment is mild to moderate.
- The position may require duties to include routine or reasonably anticipated tasks or procedures where there is a degree of actual or potential exposure to blood or other infectious materials.
- Hours of work are structured 7.5 or 8.0 hour blocks of time but may be subject to irregular and/or flexible hours based on needs or demands.
- Participation in annual training regarding infection control and safety in the environment including hazardous waste and blood borne pathogens will be required.
- All new staff must attend training regarding handling physical, verbal threats, acts of violence or other escalating and potential dangerous situations including when police need to be summoned.
Required Job Performance:
- Successful Performance Evaluation on an annual basis. A Performance Improvement Plan will be initiated on all employees who have a negative performance evaluation. An employee will be terminated if the Performance Improvement Plan is viewed as unsuccessful after 2 attempts.
