You will play a key part in supporting critical systems that directly impact public safety and emergency response services across Canada.

Accountabilities

  • Support LAN/WAN environments, including routers, switches, firewalls, cabling, and network infrastructure across distributed systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve server, OS, and application-level issues across Windows and Linux environments, including virtualization platforms.

  • Produce technical documentation, weekly status reports, and operational updates for stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve complex system issues under pressure while ensuring minimal service disruption in critical environments.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in telecommunications, networking, RF systems, IT infrastructure, or mission-critical communication environments.
  • Strong expertise in IP networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet, L2/L3, MPLS) and hands-on experience with LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Solid knowledge of server environments including Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware).
  • Experience with communication systems, RF technologies, broadband/LTE, or public safety networks is highly desirable.
  • Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot network and server infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in high-pressure, field-based environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and eligibility for government security clearance required.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).
Benefits
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and expertise
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness coverage (where applicable)
  • Opportunities to work on critical national public safety communication systems
  • Career development in advanced networking, RF, and systems engineering domains
  • Field exposure with high-impact technical projects across Canada
  • Training and upskilling in modern communication and infrastructure technologies
  • Stable, long-term role within mission-critical technology environments
